Our History
Educate Ferozepur Welfare Society
In 2007, the founder of Educate Ferozepur, Mr. Gaurav Narang, generously covered the educational expenses of a bright student named Mariam, recognizing her exceptional academic abilities. He diligently supported her studies until, unexpectedly, her parents arranged her marriage during her 12th-grade studies without informing Mr. Narang.
This event left him deeply disappointed, realizing the crucial need for grassroots assistance for students to maintain consistent motivation towards completing their education.
Consequently, Educate Ferozepur was established in 2017 with a dedicated mission to provide quality education to underprivileged children. Our After School program commenced in June 2017, initially operating from the residence of one of our teachers.
Our Mission
The mission of Educate Ferozepur is to provide support for quality education to underprivileged children - providing them an opportunity to identify and achieve their full potential, which in turn, empowers them and increases their chances to have a happier and an accomplished life.
Educate Ferozepur strives to achieve this by providing the children with resources, guidance, and motivation and by attempting to solve systemic issues in their communities which hamper their access to a quality education.
Though the current focus of Educate Ferozepur is the small town of Ferozepur in Indian Punjab, the intent is to share the learnings and tools coming out of this endeavour with any organisation facing similar challenges.

KALAM ABHIYAN
Kalam Abhiyan started as a simple campaign of teaching parents on how to sign their name but it is starting to evolve as an adult literacy program as we see that these parents see value in literacy not just for their children but for themselves as well.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM
- Providing educational support to underprivileged children, offering specialised classes in Mathematics and English to enhance their learning.
BEGINNERS LEVEL
Extra assistance for students facing challenges in reading and writing skills, offering specialised classes tailored to their needs.
LIBRARY
The library features various sections including Playway, Art and Craft, Story Books, and more.
COMPUTER PROGRAM
Students are offered basic computer programming and typing classes to enhance their computer proficiency.
READING CALENDAR
The Reading Calendar initiative aims to enhance students' reading habits by providing them with a monthly reading calendar. Additionally, we furnish each student with a book from the library, facilitating the development of their reading skills.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
We offer scholarships to students who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, assisting them in completing their education journey.
MALWA KHALSA PROJECT
In January 2023, a survey was conducted by one of our staff members to knowmore about the school and have great interaction with staff and their kids.
In April 2023, we collaborated with the school to streamline operations in the primary block. We deployed a full-time teacher dedicated to instructing 2nd and 3rd-grade classes, while our coordinators conduct regular visits to oversee workflow.
Furthermore, we have taken the initiative to assist in renovating classrooms to enhance infrastructure, ensuring that students learn in an improved environment.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
An internship provides candidates with invaluable learning opportunities, fostering skill development, practical experience, networking, and more. Additionally, participants receive Internship Certificates upon completion.

IMPACT
Educate Ferozepur has helped improve the lives of numerous underprivileged children, with a growing number of success stories and positive feedback.
Part of our After-School Program since 2018, joining in 2nd grade at our tutor's home. Now in 7th grade, he continues to excel in his studies.
SHIVAMAccompanied by his younger brother Shivam, became a part of our community. He remained with us until the 11th grade. Presently, Mohit is balancing his studies in the 12th grade with part-time work to contribute to his family's financial needs.
MOHITPart of our community at the onset of his secondary education, investing five invaluable years in learning and active engagement. Despite the common trend of students opting for arts after their 10th grade, Rohan chose commerce. His dedication and hard work have transformed him into a self-reliant student, now pursuing his studies independently.
